History of the company
Secondary aluminium was already being processed at the Berlin-Lichterfelde site back in the 1960s. The plant specialised in wrought alloys from an early stage. Even when the company moved to Berlin-Reinickendorf in the north of the city, it was mainly extrusion billets and rolling slabs that were produced from aluminium scrap to high standards of quality. Finally, the company concentrated completely on the production of rolling slabs.
Since the takeover of the site by BAGR, the operation has become a success story. The plant is permanently integrated into the material flows of its customers, removing scrap from the market and supplying in its place tailor-made high-quality products with a maximum of flexibility.
Through carefully targeted investments and a consistent personnel policy, BAGR today combines a long tradition of rolling slab production, reflected in the comprehensive know-how of its staff, with cutting-edge technology in the field of melting and casting.
In this way, we have established ourselves in the European market as a leading medium-sized company in the field of rolling slab manufacture from secondary aluminium.
